Australia, Queensland: child mauled by a ferocious dog at the party

A young boy was rushed to hospital following a gruesome dog attack in southeastern Queensland.

A child was flown to the hospital after a ferocious dog bit him in the face on a private property in southeastern Queensland.

The child was flown by RACQ LifeFlight rescue helicopter to Queensland Children’s Hospital with “significant facial injuries” from a Gympie home at 2:00 pm Sunday.

Reports suggest that the child approached the dog while he was at a party on Widgee’s property.

The dog would be tied up.

The boy remains in serious but stable condition.

The breed of the dog remains unknown.

The attack was reported to Gympie’s board, which is investigating the incident.
