Denis Shapovalov calls for tougher measures against disruptive fans

Denis Shapovalov asked tennis officials to take a stronger stand against disruptive fans after being disturbed during his three-set win against local hope Lorenzo Sonego at the Italian Open on Monday.

Shapovalov lost his temper, was punished with a penalty point and booed by the fans, but overcame all those distractions by beating Italian Sonego 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 6-3 in his opening match in Rome.
