The “Certified Lover Boy” just pulled the final move on an online critic.
The drama-filled interaction began Tuesday when an Instagram user teased Drake’s son Adonis after the rapper commented on fathers being “elated, competitive, and too supportive” of their children’s activities. In response, the Instagram user wrote: “Ya son probably plays with ghost writers.”
The ironic comment was in reference to past disputes where the Canadian rapper was accused of relying on ghostwriters and not writing his own lines.
dragonswho on the platform calls himself @champagnepapi, decided to answer in the most Drake way: he quickly tracked down the commentator’s wife and followed her on Instagram.
“I just followed your girlfriend because she is probably unhappy and needs some excitement in her life,” he joked.
The woman followed by Drake, who on the social platform is called Toni Bowden, shared the tea on her Instagram Story.
“Oh hey @champagnepapi,” he captioned in a screenshot from his followers, with rapper “God’s Plan” listed as one of them.
“My husband @ceddybo_ybagnm decides he is a troll and now @champagnepapi thinks I need excitement in my life,” she wrote, along with laughing emojis and eyes.
But the debacle didn’t end there. dragonswho has warned her fans in her lyrics over the years about stealing girls from their boyfriends and husbands, annihilated the original commentator with one last blow by sending Bowden a direct message after seeing his posts.
“I’m here for you,” he wrote her.
This week, it was confirmed that Drake will appear on Jack Harlow’s new album “Come Home the Kids Miss You,” which is due out this Friday.
