Economic team off to US next week

THE country’s economic managers will be flying to San Francisco, United States, next week to again brief prospective foreign investors about opportunities in the Philippines.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said on Monday that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had been invited to deliver the keynote for the economic briefing.

Philippine economic managers will lead the event and detail the country’s investment environment and business opportunities to American business leaders and investors.

Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, Socioeconomic Planning Arsenio Balisacan and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli Remolona Jr. will be meeting business leaders on November 15 at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco.

The topics to be covered include the Philippine economy; government spending priorities, fiscal, infrastructure; and innovation programs, as well as recent reforms that have made it easier for foreign investments.
