Emperador 9-month income dips | The Manila Times
GLOBAL whisky and brandy conglomerate Emperador Inc. reported on Monday that net income attributable to the parent company reached P6.8 billion in the first nine months of 2023, down from P7.18 billion in the same period last year.
However, revenues grew 10 percent year-on-year to P47.1 billion, it said in a disclosure.
For the third quarter alone, net income attributable to the parent company rose 5 percent year-on-year to P2.051 billion.
The company said it continued to experience double-digit revenue growth “owing to its robust sales of single malt whiskies across different markets across the globe, particularly in Asia and North America.”
“The company continues to surge ahead in light of the challenging complexities in the world. We have a compelling whisky portfolio driving the international business and a brandy segment driven by innovation and premiumization,” Emperador Inc. President Winston Co said.
“Overall, for 2023, our company hopes to end the year with a strong performance.”
Emperador is listed both on the Philippine Stock Exchange and the Singapore Exchange.
On Monday, Emperador shares were up by 15 centavos at P20.95 each.
