Macarthur FC announced the devastating news on Monday morning, offering their condolences to the Mexican midfielder and his extended family.
The couple shared a child together, two-year-old son Uli Jnr.

After two seasons with Wellington Phoenix, Davila signed for Macarthur on a three-year contract in 2021, serving as the club’s captain this summer.
Macarthur finished seventh in the 2021/22 A-League standings after recording nine wins in 26 games, with Davila finishing as the team’s top scorer in a season interrupted by injury and Covid-19.
Earlier this month, he was named Bulls Player of the Year.
Davila also shared the Johnny Warren medal, awarded to the best player in the A-League, with Milos Ninkovic of Sydney FC in 2020/21.
