We continue our countdown to the top player in the Pac-12 going into 2022 with a new energy in the air, this being one of the last times we will likely be doing this with all 12 current teams.

This group of players is spread out across the Conference and starts to get to some Pac-12 household names with which you should be familiar.

Let’s keep the countdown going…

Ron Stone Jr. | Associated Press

30. Ron Stone Jr., Defensive End, Washington State

Stone emerged as one of the best edge players in the conference last year. He’s one of the Pac-12’s best pass rushers and has power to hold the edge.

Hawai transfer Khoury Bethley | AZCentral

29. Khoury Bethley, Safety, Arizona State

The Hawaii transfer is an All-Mountain West veteran who should turn right into an All-Pac-12 player. He will bolster a rebuilding ASU secondary.

Brandon Kipper | OSU Athletics

28. Brandon Kipper, Tackle, Oregon State

The Beavers are loaded with veteran offensive linemen and Kipper is one of their best. He’s a multi-year starter who has thrived with the excellent coaching and scheme in Corvallis.

LaDarius Henderson | the Athletics

27. LaDarius Henderson, Guard, Arizona State

Henderson came on strong last year and turned into one of the best interior linemen in the conference. He’s quick and powerful and great on the pull.

Sataoa Laumea | 247Sports

26. Sataoa Laumea, Guard, Utah

Laumea became an All-Pac-12 player as a freshman in 2020 and backed it up with another great season in 2021.

He could keep progressing and turn into a First-Team All-Conference player this year.

Popo Aumavae | Troy Wayrynen/USA TODAY Sports

25. Popo Aumavae, Defensive Tackle, Oregon

Aumavae quietly stepped up in 2021 and strengthened Oregon’s run defense. He’s one of the toughest guys to move off a spot in the Pac-12.

Jaydon Grant | Karl Maasdam/Oregon State Athletics

24. Jaydon Grant, Safety, Oregon State

Grant has been around the block for quite some time for the Beavers in the secondary and he’s been really good the entire time. A balanced DB who can defend the run and the pass.

23. Daniel Scott, Safety, Cal

One of the most underrated players in the Conference going into 2022. He’s an excellent coverage player and just another stud Cal DB to play under Justin Wilcox and Co.

Omar Speights | OSU Athletics

22. Omar Speights, Linebacker, Oregon State

Speights has been a great linebacker for the Beavers since he was a freshman. He’s now the veteran leader of their linebacker group and a tackling machine.

Benjamin Yurosek | Craig Mitchelldyer/isiphotos.com

21. Benjamin Yurosek, Tight End, Stanford

Yurosek quietly had a huge year last season. He recorded more than 40 catches for more than 600 yards and three touchdowns in 2021. The next standout Stanford tight end.
