John Oliver is strangely upset about a 1997 movie that everyone else has forgotten

Not many people spend a lot of time analyzing the 1997 film “Air Bud”.

But that’s what happened John Olivermind this week.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going to spoil 1997’s ‘Air Bud’ for you,” he promised at the start of the segment. “If I wanted to, I would say that the dog that played him is now definitely dead, or that it must have been nice to settle before 9/11.”

His HBO show, “Last Week Tonight,” is on hiatus, but Oliver has posted a web-only clip on YouTube explaining his problems with the film.
