KELLY RIZZO she is still mourning the death of her husband, Bob Saget, who died suddenly in January at the age of 65.
Rizzo joined Amanda Kloots on her daytime talk show the speech to discuss his feelings. Kloots also lost her husband, Nick Cordero, to complications from Covid-19 in 2020.
During a panel discussion, each woman confessed her connection with their respective husband despite their death.
“It’s like he’s still my husband,” Rizzo explained. “It’s not like, ‘Oh, he’s my ex-husband.’ It’s like… the relationship is different now. It’s just… it’s what it is. “
He told Rizzo that all the people he lost in his life are “still there” in his soul.
“You will notice that I still don’t say the D-word [death] – I say ‘the day it all happened.’ “
Rizzo recently left the home she and Saget shared, as part of her grieving process. However, she brought with her many memories of her husband. She also claimed that cabaret memories and images are “everywhere” in her new home.
“His girls came to stay with me because you know, the first time since I moved into the new house just last week, they walked in and I thought, ‘So it’s kind of like a museum for your dad, so Don’t go crazy, but yeah, it’s everywhere, ‘”she added.” And then they catch me like I’m talking to a photo every now and then, and they say’ Stepmother Kelly, are you okay? ‘”
Rizzo said his friendship with the Saget girls was an important part of his personal grief recovery.
“I know Bob would like you to be there for his girls,” Rizzo said. “I’m not that focused on my pain when I try to help or support them or be there for them. When I do little things to try to make them happy, I somehow get out of my head. And at the same time I’m also like, ‘Oh, that would make Bob so happy, just knowing I’m trying to make them happy.’ ”
Saget was discovered unconscious in a Florida hotel room on January 9 sold out The star was later revealed to be dead in her sleep in her hotel room after suffering a head injury.
