Michelle Williams: Jeremy Strong moved in to help his daughter after Heath Ledger’s death

Actor Jeremy Strong helped care for actor Michelle Williams’ daughter and the late Heath Ledger after Ledger’s death, Williams told Variety.

The “Succession” actor, Williams said, moved into her home after the tragedy to accompany her, her friend and her sister. According to Variety, Strong played and went so far as to act as a “pony” for Ledger’s daughter, Matilda.

“Jeremy was serious enough to carry the weight of a little girl’s broken heart and sensitive enough to figure out how to approach her through play, play and nonsense,” Williams told Variety.

“[Matilda] she didn’t grow up with her father, but she grew up with her Jeremy and we were changed by her ability to play as if her life depended on it, because hers did. “

Matilda, 16, was the first and only daughter of Williams with Ledger, who died in 2008.

Williams has since started a family with director Thomas Kail, who shares a 2-year-old son, Hart. She is expecting a second child from the director, according to Variety.

Williams called the upcoming addition to her family “totally joyful”.

“It’s exciting to find that something you want again and again is available once again,” he told the magazine.

“That good luck is not lost to me or my family.”
