Richard Sherman joins Amazon ‘TNF’ team, could return to NFL

Five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman will be a part of Amazon Prime’s “Thursday Night Football” coverage during the 2022 season, the streaming service announced Tuesday.

Sherman, 34, played seven seasons with the Seattle Seahawks to begin his career, racking up 30 interceptions in his first six years with the team. He later spent three years with the San Francisco 49ers and joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for five games in 2021 before calf and Achilles injuries cost him time in the latter half of the season.

At Amazon Prime, Sherman will work on the pregame, halftime and postgame coverage team along with Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez. Recently retired NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is also reportedly in talks to join the streaming service.

While his colleagues will consist of retired former NFL players, Sherman made it clear Tuesday that he’s not necessarily done yet.
