Smoke and Flames Lakes in New Mexico as teams head for the fires

Smoke and flames were seen in northern New Mexico as red flag warnings remained in effect for the area on Wednesday, May 11. Footage released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture firefighters shows smoke and flames north of Mora, New Mexico as crews travel along Tuesday highway 434. Hermits Peak / Calf Canyon bushfires had spread to 236,939 acres and May 11 were at 33% containment, according to official reports.
