Republicans and conservatives are trying to console themselves by thinking that overthrowing Roe won’t be that damaging politically for them, but it doesn’t take much effort or time on the ground until the rumble that is turning into an electoral rumble is heard backlash and explosions.
It fits the conservative mentality that they would believe that women and men in favor of the choice would sit down and take on the dehumanization of the majority of the population and the theft of their rights.
SNL also tore apart Alito’s reasoning for overturning Roe in the cold:
The Republican majority in the Supreme Court wants to make America the bane of the free world.
Republicans are angry about the leak of the draft opinion not because of some breach of secrecy, but because their plan has been exposed. There will be no shock and awe when the decision is announced.
The American people are organizing and will be ready to fight back at the polls in November.
