The match will be the first major non-football event to be held at the stadium.
The expansion of the NFL International Series to Germany is in its third country, after games played in the UK and Mexico.
The Munich game is one of five NFL international games scheduled for 2022, along with one in Mexico and three in London: two will be played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and a Jacksonville Jaguars home game at Wembley Stadium.
The NFL also announced the teams involved in the London games on Wednesday. The Minnesota Vikings will face the New Orleans Saints at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 2, while the New York Giants will face the Green Bay Packers a week later.
On October 30 at Wembley Stadium the Jaguars will host the Denver Broncos.
This is the fourth time the Bucs have participated in the International Series, having played in London on three occasions.
For the Seahawks, it is the second trip to Europe in five years, with manager Pete Carroll saying in 2018 that their trip to London was “like a home game”.
The people of Munich are sure to see a thrilling encounter for them.
The Buccaneers, Super Bowl 2020 champions, under the leadership of new manager Todd Bowles and quarterback of NFL legend Tom Brady, will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing playoff defeat to the Los Angeles Rams last season.
On the other side will be the Seahawks who are heading into their first season in 10 years without loyal quarterback Russell Wilson.
Under Carroll’s leadership, the Seahawks have consistently been one of the most competitive teams and will not see the 2022 season different, despite Wilson’s departure for the Denver Broncos.
