In two weeks, Mark Boucher, the Protea’s coachhe will wear whatever protective jacket he can muster as he defends himself against allegations of “misconduct” by his employers, Cricket South Africa (CSA).
The Boucher disciplinary hearing comes shortly after Arbitration hearing against Boucher’s former skipper Graeme Smith, whose two-year stint as CSA’s first cricket director ended in March.
According to an insider’s estimates, the two legal issues combined will put the CSA back at a staggering 10 million Rand in legal fees. Covid-19, which by staggering the CSA cannot afford this cost.
