Young Yankees fan hugs Blue Jays fan after giving Aaron Judge the home run ball in the stands

A Toronto Blue Jays a fan watching the game from the Rogers Center second deck caught a home run ball hit by New York Yankeesright outside Aaron judge Tuesday night in the sixth inning.

The man raised his fists in the air to celebrate, then quickly passed the ball to a young fan in a Yankees cap and a judge’s shirt.

The boy, overcome with emotion, threw his arms around the stranger and wept.

“Two people who had never met became lifelong friends at that moment during the judge’s home run,” said one of the commentators during the MLB transmission. “The Blue Jay fan gives the young Yankee fan in the Judge’s shirt the home run in the second deck. And he’s not giving it to anyone. He’s holding that baseball, right?”

Major League Baseball’s official Twitter page posted the video of the sweet moment along with a caption that read, “Enjoy the kindness. Aaron Judge and this generous Blue Jays fan made this baby’s night out!”

“That’s what makes this game special,” Judge said the second after the game MLB.com. “It doesn’t matter what shirt you’re wearing. Everyone is a fan; everyone loves this game. It’s really cool. I have to check out that video; it’s special.”

The Yankees won 9-1.
